The Epsom Select Board will hold an informational meeting Monday, September 21. By Staff Writer Epsom residents are invited to an important town-wide conversation about the future of the Epsom Village Water District and how it's managed.

After Commissioner Tim Denison's August resignation, the district is again operating with only one commissioner and without a clerk/secretary or treasurer. Without a second commissioner, the district lacks the quorum needed to conduct official business.

The Epsom Select Board will hold an informational meeting Monday, September 21 at 6:00 p.m. at Epsom Central School. District Commissioner Donna Dudley and representatives from the New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services are expected to attend.

The meeting is open to all Epsom residents and businesses, and attendees will have an opportunity to listen, learn more about the situation, and ask questions.

While the Village Water District directly serves only a portion of Epsom, its infrastructure plays a wider role in the community. Epsom Central School and several Town buildings rely on district water, and the district’s hydrant system supports the Epsom Fire Department’s fire protection efforts.
