2026 Primary Results Now Official

Primary winners now advance to the November 3 General Election.

The results of New Hampshire’s September 8 State Primary have now been posted by the New Hampshire Secretary of State, confirming the nominees who will advance to the November 3 General Election.
For Epsom voters, the nominees in several of the major federal, state and local races include:
Governor: Cinde Warmington (D) and Kelly Ayotte (R)
U.S. Senate: Chris Pappas (D) and John E. Sununu (R)
U.S. House, District 2: Maggie Goodlander (D) and Lily Tang Williams (R)
Executive Council, District 4: Jim O’Connell (D) and John Stephen (R)
State Senate, District 17: Robert Lawliss (D) and Howard Pearl (R)
NH House, Merrimack District 14 – Epsom: Glenn Horner (D) and Gary Matteson (R)
NH House, Merrimack District 27 – Floterial: Phillip James Walker and Harry Kozlowski (D); Raymond Plante and Vanessa Poulin (R)
The District 14 race is Epsom’s town-specific seat in the New Hampshire House. Matteson won the Republican primary over Joshua Shapiro Jr., while Horner secured the Democratic nomination. In the two-seat District 27 floterial district, which also includes Allenstown, Dunbarton and Hooksett, Plante and Poulin secured the Republican nominations, while Walker and Kozlowski secured the Democratic nominations.
In Merrimack County races:
County Attorney: Meg Hagaman (R) and Steven Endres (D)
Sheriff: Frank Cassidy (R) and Peter Shephard (D)
Register of Deeds: Samantha Morse (R) and Erica S. Davis (D)
County Treasurer: No Republican candidate filed; Kathleen Donnelly (D)
