Epsom Students Show Strong Gains on State Assessments

Epsom was among four New Hampshire school districts recognized for particularly strong academic progress. By Sini Kerman In recent news, Epsom School District was among four New Hampshire districts highlighted by the New Hampshire Department of Education for notable improvement in student assessment results from 2024 to 2026. The district showed roughly a 13 percent improvement in mathematics and roughly a 10 percent improvement in reading/writing, representing a significant three-year improvement trend. Statewide, math proficiency increased from 42% to 44%, while reading and writing proficiency remained steady at 55%.
The NHED identified Epsom alongside Wakefield, Weare and Keene as districts demonstrating particularly strong progress. The results highlight the continued work of Epsom students, teachers and staff to improve academic outcomes and build on student achievement.
